          About the Artist & Designer   

I have been a decorative painter in acrylics since 1992 having studied with Debbie Szwyd at Byram Brook Studio in East Bridgewater, MA. Most recently I have been designing and creating metal jewelry. There's something about working with other artists that opens the door to higher levels of creativity and challenges a person on to new techniques and discoveries. In 2006 I joined the Covenant Sanctuary Studio, an art studio collaborative for seasoned and budding artists alike located at Trinity Covenant Church in Bridgewater, MA. Thinking that I would use the time to practice decorative painting, I quickly committed to participating in the collaborative. It was at CSS that I was introduced to the art of polymer clay and beading and little did I know that I would fall in love with the versatility and artistic joy that designing and handcrafting beaded jewelry brings! Color and unusual shapes of stone and glass beads as well as vintage components are what inspire MEW to You designs.
MEW's Jewels  takes commissions for personalized jewelry from your sentimental, vintage, antique or treasured jewelry focal component.
